Far East Cafe

Although some of the waitresses can be a bit rude, the food makes up for it. I do have to say, the service is much better than it has been in the past since they brought in some new faces. Been going to FAR EAST since i was a toddler 38+ years ago. Will continue to put up with abuse from waitresses (lol)as long as they dont change the menu from Willie's !

I have been going to the Far East Cafe since it was on Pine Street. My parents went there prior to that, when it was on California Street. We miss Willie. The food is still good. Many dishes are unique. Their chow mein has lots of vegetables, not just noodles like so many places. The sweet and sour sauce does not have red dye in it and it is the best sweet and sour sauce anywhere. Among our other favorites are the egg foo yung, the egg rolls, the chinese pork and the fried rice. There American breakfast are great and quite hearty, too.

Far East cafe has been a long time favorite of my family. My mom and I love to split the "B". It's really good and they give you a lot of food. I do love their sweet and sour pork my favorite part is the sauce. It's not red like a lot of others, it's clear and doesn't taste so MSGish. If that makes sense:)

This is my favorite go to place for Sweet and Sour Pork. The waitresses look like they have been there for years, but the food is always well portioned and priced right.
