What is this site all about?

Well, we at ReviewRedding.com wanted two things. First, we wanted a site where community members could get involved. Tell their friends and neighbors about their good experiences with local businesses. We also wanted those same people to have a voice if they didn't like the way something was being done at a local business. Reviews provide accountability to the business. If they have a bunch of great reviews, then they're going to have a lot of business. If they have a bunch of crummy reviews, then they better change their ways or close up shop.

Secondly, we wanted to provide businesses and patrons with an easy, green choice of providing coupons. Don't you just hate getting piles and piles of junk mail to find the 3 coupons that you like? Well, you don't have to with ReviewRedding.com. Businesses are allowed to list coupons for FREE on our site. That's right! One of my favorite sayings is "Free es Bueno," which I'm sure viloates the rules of two languages. So, now, you can locate the coupon that you are lookiing for OR browse for a new place to love based on the reviews. A truly win-win situation.

Why should I take the time to write a review for your site?

Well, if you ask it like that, then I'm going to tell you that you are coming at it from the wrong angle. This isn't my site, it's our site. It's yours and mine. I am often jealous of other community's night life and cultural life. Well, if you want better things, then you have to hold the local businesses more accountable. Good reviews = Good Business. Bad reviews = Good Business. Can you imagine what it would look like if every bar, nightclub, or restaurant in town was providing excellence? If you don't tell them (and everybody else), then they won't get better. Don't you want it to get better?

I don't see my business here. How do I get it on your site?

I would like to add information to my business. How do I do that?

Register for an account, and look at our tutorial on Claim a Listing. We will verify you and your business and put you on FREE OF CHARGE. After you have claimed the listing, you will be free to edit it as you like. You can add pictures, video, descriptions and more. All FREE OF CHARGE. We do ask that in return you let us put up a great coupon that will promote our site and your business.

I don't want to advertise, but I do want to add a coupon. How do I do that?

I'm a business here in town and I don't like my rating. What can I do?

Read, Reflect, Change! Rinse and repeat! If you don't listen to the customer, then you are doomed anyway. Our site only helps businesses get better. We don't want to see anyone go out of business. We just want to see them get better. Get better and then ask those new customers to review you. It should all balance out over time.

What if we changed, but our rating still isn't better?

To show you how committed we are to your business getting better, we will do 2 things. First, we will provide you with a business card that says "Love it? Hate it? Rate it! @ ReviewRedding.com." You can include one of these cards with every check at the end of the meal. Tell them that if they rate you, you will give them 10% off on their next meal.

Second, we will gladly purge any old ratings (both good and bad) that are over 6 months old. If you truly have changed your ways, then this should provide a tremendous increase in your overall rating.

How do I know that the ratings are legitamate?

The goal of ReviewRedding.com is to provide great reviews and free coupons. One thing that ReviewRedding.com does to ensure that the ratings are legitamate is that, in order to rate a business, one must sign up with our Community. We even have a Connect with Facebook button that automatically imports your info from Facebook so that you don't have to start from scratch. All reviews record a username and an IP address. Each user is only allowed to provide one review. The IP address is logged so that the same person cannot create multiple accounts and leave mass reviews. Any community member caught manipulating the reviews will be permanently banned! Please click the Report this review button for any reviews that look suspicious or have profanity or threats or statements that cannot be backed up.

What type of statements are allowed?

Well, obviously kind words are always appreciated. However, we really want to know what you think. It's okay to make negative statements, but think of it as constructive criticism. Don't say "This place is full of cockroaches!" If it is, call the Shasta County Health Department. Instead say, "They could be get better with regards to cleanliness" No profanity or threats are allowed. This includes words that are bleeped (ie. $$*$*). If you can't say it in front of my 4 year old, then don't say it. Act as if you were talking to the manager, who is your friend, and giving him your honest opinon because you want to see him/her do well.
