Yama Sushi

Yama is an EXCELLENT restaurant. While i'll admit, the freshness of some of the sushi... mainly the sashimi, can be lacking at the bar due to the boat style, it's still some of the best sushi i've ever had. In comparison to sushi down here in Westwood LA, it could definitely compete.

Bar seating available along the moat surrounding the cook's pit where small wooden boats float by with plates of food for you to choose from. Plates are color/design coded by price (3 options) and each price range has many different tastes to try. Five men in my group averaged $30 to get STUFFED, and that group included some very big guys who are not shy about eating. Table seating available too if you prefer.

Very unique menu items made this a special treat, the chefs are fast and furious and keep the boats full. Servers were by frequently keeping the drinks full and checkout is a breeze. Stack the plates by color-code, multiply and you're on your way.

Great Sushi. What I like is that I can go there in a hurry and sit at the sushi bar and have a fast delicious lunch. My daughter loves it too because of the floating boats of food, but be careful your child might just take more than you want if you don't pay attention! They also have plenty of cooked options for people who aren't fans of the raw stuff.
