I stumbled upon a new place last week.  A local Redding restaurant, Shamrock Cereal Cafe and Creamery, has been open about 6 months.  They are open on Athens Avenue, in the same place that has once known Basking Robins and O'Reily's Creamery.

I'll be honest with you, I didn't even know they were there because they use the same Shamrock from O'Reily's on their sign above.  That really confused me.  I thought that O'Reily's went out of business.  They did!  But then, Shamrock came in afterwards.

Well, I dove right in and tried the Chocalate Chip Waffle with vanilla ice cream.  It was a good size, a good price, and I enjoyed it.  Only order it if you have a pretty good appetite and would rather have desert than breakfast.
